Through our partnership with Money 4 Jam (an informal trade route-to-market specialist), and local tuckshops and wholesalers, we were able to support our communities with food parcels and the ability to purchase food. This was done through the generation of food tokens, which our community members were able to use to buy food from their nearest tuck shop or spaza shop with whom we partnered. This project, which ran from May to November 2020, assisted many people in ensuring that they have food to eat and enough groceries to support their families.
